When The Asian Game was created five years ago we set out on a mission to bring the vibrancy, the passion, the colour and diversity of Asian football to the world.
Through 128 podcasts, totaling over 100 hours of audio, with 250 unique guests – be they players, coaches, administrators or media personalities – we have been able to do just that.
From some of the game’s biggest names, like current Celtic coach Ange Postecoglou, Chelsea and Australian superstar Sam Kerr, Saudi Arabian legend Sami Al-Jaber and Iranian icon Mehdi Mahdavikia, to the untold stories from places like the Northern Mariana Islands, Bhutan and Palestine.
Throughout the past five years The Asian Game has evolved from a humble podcast to a thriving digital media service, complete with a regular podcast, a website that offers thoughtful and insightful analysis, features and interviews and an emerging video docu-series – The Asian Game: Insights – that brings to life the people and the stories that make Asian football so unique.
As the days, weeks and years go on we will continue to grow and evolve these offerings to continue to bring the best of Asian football to as wide an audience as possible.
As we enter into a World Cup month, the first time the tournament will be held in the Arab world, the time is right to expand the horizons of The Asian Game even further to reach the many millions of fanatical football fans in that part of the world by launching our very own Arabic-language social media account; initially on twitter, but with plans for further expansion onto other platforms.
Leading up to and during the FIFA World Cup, and beyond as we look ahead to a big 2023, The Asian Game Arabic will grow into its own unique presence that provides specific content targeted at fans right across the Arab world also while showcasing and sharing the very best of The Asian Game to a new audience.
This is an exciting new journey for The Asian Game as we continue on our mission to share the magic of Asian football with the world, and we hope you join us for the ride.
