In August 2017 we launched the debut episode of The Asian Game podcast as we began our mission to share the beauty of Asian football with the rest of the world.
Football has a rich history right across Asia, with stories and legends dating back decades, even centuries. But often they are stories confined to just one small part of this wonderful continent, rarely told outside their geographic confines.
Our mission at The Asian Game is to bring these stories to you.
Since we launched our podcast in August 2017 we have released 83 different episodes of the podcast, delivering over 4100 minutes (68 hours) of content with 198 different guests joining us along the way.
We have also featured interviews with players, coaches, administrators or media from 39 of the 47 member associations that make up the Asian Football Confederation.
Our commitment to covering Asian football is as strong as ever.
But we know that people consume content in varying forms, and not everyone has the time or means to listen to our podcast, so in November 2019 we launched this website to bring you the best written features, analysis and opinion on Asian football.
Now the time has come to expand once more, and it is our great pleasure to introduce our latest product offering, The Asian Game: Insights, a brand new video series that will bring to life the unique characters involved in Asian football.
Our debut episode, which you can watch below, focuses on two stars from India’s Bengaluru FC – midfielder Erik Paartalu and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
With the world in a COVID-enforced lockdown, the two teammates found themselves in the same city, Sydney, and now after training together for the last few months the bond between the two is as strong as ever.
